Join Rochester Spiritualist Society members in a safe environment to learn or improve mediumship skills. We will explore ideas and techniques to help participants learn how to give evidential messages from spirit and share ideas with each other. Beginners and experienced mediums are welcome.
Attending the Development Group is free, love donations are accepted.

This is a warm, welcoming Spiritualist circle dedicated to exploring and developing the gifts of mediumship. Together, we’ll learn techniques, share insights, and support one another as we strengthen our connection with spirit and grow in our practice.

Día de los Muertos Celebration

Celebrate Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) with the Rochester Spiritualist Society! We will be meeting at Brighton Town Park on Saturday, November 7th, from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Carmen Clark Lodge.
Día de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, is a holiday celebrated throughout Mexico and in many areas of the United States. The holiday centers around gatherings of family and friends to honor and remember loved ones who have passed away.
Similar to Spiritualist teachings, the spirits of our loved ones are not considered to be far away. They are welcomed with joy through celebrations filled with flowers, smiling skeletons, sweets and candies, favorite foods, music, and other meaningful offerings.
We will have a public Ofrenda (altar) where you are welcome to place a photograph of a loved one who has passed, along with a small offering of something they enjoyed in life, such as chocolate, a favorite drink or food, or even a cigar.
Message Service
We will begin our event with a short Message Service. Doors open at 12:00 PM for you to place a photograph, light a candle, or leave a memento on our public Ofrenda.
At 12:30 PM, following a short prayer dedicated to those who have passed into Spirit, our mediums will offer uplifting, healing, and evidential messages to those in attendance.
Our celebration will follow the Message Service.

Admission Donations Support Our Community
Admission donations directly support the Rochester Spiritualist Society and help us continue our work serving the Rochester community.
Your support allows us to provide spiritual programs, educational opportunities, community events, and other services while continuing our commitment to giving back to those around us.
Admission:
$5 for Rochester Spiritualist Society Members
$10 for Non-Members
Children under 12 are free with a paid adult.

An Afternoon of Cocoa and Cookies

The Rochester Spiritualist Society warmly invites you to a cozy afternoon of holiday cheer, sweet treats, and good company on Sunday, December 6th, from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM!
Join us as we gather to celebrate the spirit of the season with friendship, laughter, and a little something sweet. Bring a plate of your favorite cookies, baked goods, or festive holiday treats to share. We’ll have hot cocoa, coffee, and tea ready to make the afternoon extra cozy!
Please label your goodies if they contain common allergens, and mark items as gluten free, nut free, or sugar free when possible so everyone can enjoy safely.
Whether you bring a treat or simply come to enjoy the company, all are welcome! Let’s make this a warm and joyful afternoon together.
